When you thinking healthy you think green smoothie. But the worst thing is when they actually taste healthy, you know when they taste solely of blended kale? or are way to bitter?
So I thought it was about time I share my favourite green smoothie recipe with you! I use a mix of veg and fruit to boost the benefits and ensure the smoothie still has a little natural sweetness.
I have something to admit though.... unlike every green smoothie recipe you will ever find this DOESN'T contain BANANA. Yup thats right, banana doesn't come anywhere near my smoothie - thats probably because its the one food I can not stand. eekkk!!!
Fear not if you are a banana lover, feel free to substitute the mango for some frozen banana (though do yourself a favour and try it with the mango just once - it is amazing!
1 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup pineapple
1 inch piece of cucumber
juice of half a lime
1 cup coconut water
Method: Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy! If you feeling fancy (or just extra hungry) top with a little granola!
