Blood Orange Smoothie

This smoothie is tastes like spring in a glass... And no I'm not just being cliche when I say that. It has the perfect about of sweetness from the mango coupled with coconut milk and a tang from the blood orange. And then to top it off add in the mint for the extra hit of freshness. 

Brisbane is starting to heat up, which means smoothies are fast becoming my favourite treat again. Blood oranges are only in season for a short period of time, around september/october. So get in quick - you won't regret it!

Spring Time Blood Orange Smoothie

2 blood oranges

ยพ cup frozen mango

ยฝ cup coconut milk

2 tbsp greek yoghurt (or coconut yoghurt for diary free)

1 tbsp lemon juice

4 mint leaves

Method:

1.     Peel and Slice the oranges.

2.     Place all ingredients into a blender

3.     Blend on high for 2mins, until smoot

4. Pour into a glass, top with your favourite nuts or seeds and enjoy!!
